A retrospective of the late Professor Emeritus, Michael Miller's art work spanning the career of this excellent, well known and beloved artist, retired from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2014.
SUMMER GROUP SHOW 2014
Michael Miller will be included in a group show at the Acumen Gallery, Long Island City,
New York. The art will be on exhibit from June 21 through the remainder of the summer.
FACULTY PROJECTS December 14- February 16
Michael Miller will be included in the Faculty Projects Exhibitions at the Sullivan Galleries at the School of the Art institute of Chicago. This exhibition, which opened on December 14 will be on exhibit until February 16

Features artists include Calvin Forbes, Doug Huston, Eduardo Kac, Frank Piatek, Katherine Ross, Katrin Schnabl, Suellen Semekoski, and Ann Tyler.
CHATTERBOX FICTION at the Beverly Arts Center
Michael Miller will be one of seven artists participating in a group exhibition called CHATTERBOX FICTION.

Guest curator, Bruce thorn, invited seven Chicago artists who work within a wide range of styles of abstraction, from the completely non-representational to the obviously figurative.

In addition to Miller, the other artists in the exhibition are Phillip Capuano, Kathleen King. Steven Leavitt, David Richards, Michelle Stone, and Bruce Thorn.

The show will be at the Beverly Arts Center, Chicago

KOREA UNIVERSITY
Michael Miller will be teaching at Korea University during the summer, 2013.
He will be teaching a lecture class called "Understanding Drawing- from the cave to the monitor" as well as a studio class titled "Creating Graphic Narratives. This will be his 7th year teaching in that program.
NEW PRINTS/SUMMER 2012
Michael Miller will be included in the exhibit "NEW PRINTS / SUMMER 2012", curated by Shahzia Sikander. The exhibit will be at the International Print Center, New York (IPCNY) from May 24- July 27.

The opening reception will be held on May 31, 6-8 P.M. at the IPCNY gallery, 508 W. 26th, 5th floor.

This 3 person exhibition will be on exhibit at Gallery Sun Contemporary in Seoul throughout the month of March 2012.

NEW PRINTS/SUMMER 2011 -Opening Reception, June 9, 6-8 PM
Michael Miller will have his print "EGG HEADS" exhibited in the "New Prints/Summer 2011" at the International Print Center New York. The show will open on June 9 and end on July 29. The IPCNY gallery is located at 508 W. 26th Street, New York.

Highlights of New Prints 2011/Summer include Rob Swainston's massive multi-block jig-saw woodcut, PLEXUS/Machines, spanning fifteen feet and covering an entire gallery wall; Heidi Neilson's extra-terrestrial-themed artist's book, Orbital Debris Simulator, viewed with 3D glasses; Michael Miller's linoleum cut diptych, Egg Heads, in which a pair of combative faces are plotted on grids against a dark void; two lithograph/screenprints from John Baldessari's Nose/Silhouette series; an installation of printed wallpaper with a repeated text arrangement by Marianne Keating, entitled "The Future is Unwritten" Joe Strummer; and Kerry James Marshall's Untitled (Bride of Frankenstein), hardground aquatint etching depicting a monumental female figure.Many more unique forms and expressions of contemporary printmaking are included
in the show.
